The Vitruvian Man is a drawing made by the Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci in around 1490, the greatest period of development in Italy, within the field of art, science and medicine. Leonardo da Vinci’s drawing of a male figure perfectly inscribed in a circle and square, known as the “Vitruvian Man”, beloved for its beauty and symbolic power, illustrates what he believed to be a divine connection between the human form and the universe.
The two geometric structures represent creation: the square represents the Earth, while the circle represents the Universe. Man comes into contact with the two figures in a completely proportional way and this identifies the perfect nature of man’s creation in harmony with the Earth and the Universe.
We believe that this drawing embodies our style, highlighting the importance of posture, the beauty and the harmony of the human body. Never the less, this symbol is strongly related to the Italian Culture.
